Mawsons are excited to share that we have taken delivery of Australia’s first Bell B30E articulated dump truck, from Hitachi Construction Machinery.
Located at our Lake Boga Quarry, the Bell truck appealed to Mawsons because of its outstanding safety features - including reverse camera and mirror package, on board inclinometer and on board weighing system.
Lake Boga Quarry manager Darren Colville believes that the on board weighing scale is a standout feature, as is the trucks manoeuvrability and driver comfort features.
“These trucks allow us to extract more from the quarry. Bell’s new design makes it easy for our operators when manoeuvring in and out of the pit. The three accelerometers and external load lights improve load accuracy and prevent overloading. This helps us maximise productivity and reduce our maintenance costs such as tyre and driveline wear.”
The Bell B30E has been designed to be more fuel efficient and yet haul greater loads, an advancement that aligns perfectly with Mawsons commitment to sustainability practises. We are excited to be a part of this first for the Australian mining and quarry industry.
